Zaurus SL-C3100 running Angstrom, duplicate panel entries
« on: January 06, 2022, 12:16:15 pm »
Hi, all.  I've resurrected my old Zaurus SL-C3100 running Angstrom after letting it sit idle in a cabinet for 15 years or so.  In trying to re-familiarize myself with the user interface, I have inadvertently added two extra instances of the application launcher on the panel at the bottom of the screen.  I can add more, or using the panel manager re-order the icons, but can't find a way to delete the extras.  I'm sure it's a text file I can edit, but having trouble finding it.  Anybody have any suggestions?

I have never used OpenZaurus/Angstrom (at least yet  :) ), I have done a search in the forum and I have found this post:

https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?topic=10435.msg65443#msg65443

which mentions ~/Settings/Launcher.conf and ~/Settings/Launchersettings.conf, check if you have these two files.

Otherwise, you might have a better luck than me finding help here (hoping that this link works for you too):

Thanks!  I should have stated that I'd done a forum search before posting, but the link you provided got me close enough the find the files in question in ~/.matchbox/...
Then I discovered that by clicking on an unused space on the panel bar, a small menu pops up that lets one remove icons.  Duh.
