Planet Updater SSL Error
« on: December 17, 2022, 03:41:42 pm »
I get an error every time Planet Updater checks for updates.
"Chain validation failed."
I know what the error means but I don't see any way to solve it, nor how to get updates.
Anyone else?

That picture shows the same error that I get.

I do not interpret that as you do. To me it means that we can't even connect properly to the update server since the server certificate can't be properly verified -> we can't know if there are any updates...

As I mentioned in the other thread, the planet updater goes to https://pulsar.planetcom.co.uk/ (if you go with a browser, you can bypass cert check) and it's pretty much empty for now.

There are several firmware versions in the wild though, someone on IGG said that their security level is Nov 2021, mine is from Jan 2022. Really strange that they cannot even bring the older batches to the same batch as newer ones... And the whole deejoy-dota business.
