Why is a poll annoying when you don\'t have to participate?  It\'s optional.  Why should that annoy?

The results have been quite helpful in most of the threads.  It gives us a really good perspective on whether such-and-such is even deemed important or not.  For example, in the WarCraft thread, it appears that roughly 50% of the people have played WarCraft II and love it, 25% of the people played it and thought it was so-so, and 25% have never played it.  In this case, that\'s important for the developers to know so that they know whetehr people will use stratagus FreeCraft (WarCraft) if it gets compiled and whether it\'s even worth their time or not.

Again, if the polls annoy... ignore them.  Participation is optional.   Personally, I love them and find them very useful.

They are useful, but I dislike them if they don\'t include all of the options - they are of no use in this case as they can\'t fairly represent what people think.

I don\'t mind them but they are generally useless as the number of people who reply to them is often very small (meaning the answers are statistically useless) and as Lardman pointed out the poll often misses options that also tends to skew results.

Interesting - YES
Meaningful - Unlikely

I always try to put all possible options in the polls.  I\'m sorry if I missed a valid option.  If you ever notice that an option isn\'t represented, let me know and I\'ll try to do better next time.

Yes, the polls are a small number of people, but that\'s the only statistics we have here, so it\'s better than being clueless about an issue.

I like \'em. Provided there are sufficient choices.

Anyway Tony, it\'s what I\'ve come to expect from you now ;-) LOL!

(But I never trust polls, 13.7% of ZUG members have no sense of humour, 83.4% of all polls are pure shite, 68.9% are meaningless, 76.2% are made up.) :-)
Left Linux and Linux PDAs... sorry, got boring.  Switched to Mac.
