Is Socket BT rev E or F better with Cacko Qt???
« on: June 01, 2004, 06:16:33 pm »
I have my choice of a rev E or rev F Socket Bluetooth card.  I use the Cacko Qt ROM (1.21).  I know the rev G didn\'t work optimally, but I\'ve seen posts that the E and F work... so just wondering if one is better (i.e. more compatible) than the other for this ROM.

Thanks
Curt

Both Rev E and F are equally compatible with the Bluetooth drivers. The only difference between the two is the firmware on them. Rev E is only Bluetooth 1.0b compliant. Rev F is Bluetooth 1.1 compliant. This makes no difference to the driver but may make a difference in terms of compatibility with other Bluetooth hardware. I originally bought Rev E and had it flashed to a Rev F card completely free.
