I hope they'll use Ashely's script, as well as enabling faster SD writting in the kernel.

Unfortnaly we currently only have one wireless card for testing. So if you feel like donating hardware or money feel free - so we can try it and make support for it.
All I saw was Paypal for making donations. And I don't do Paypal.

Do you have an address that I can send to? I've sent stuff to Poland & the U.K. without any problems, no reason why post won't work here.

I made a donation of a couple of hundred dollars a few days ago, so can I get some decent Bluetooth support in the kernel please? Pretty please?

We have heard quite a deal of error reports WiFi and bluetooth related problems.

In order to deal with these we need a couple of these people to post their problems and contact info, so we can try to find the bugs. We are talking about have IRC sessions with each of the affected persons one by one - and see if we can figure out whats wrong.

So please post if you have problems with Wifi or bluetooth or PM me.

Well from what I can make out, my major problem at the moment is the kernel in pdaXrom 1.0.5 simply doesn't have the required -mh patches to get any bluetooth to work.

I have 2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix, I presume the same as everyone else?

I can get hciconfig to display my device, along with a MAC, and hcitool scan finds stuff; I can ping bluetooth things and pair, but rfcomm point blank refuses to work with errors such as "rfcomm0: no such device" and occasionally "rfcomm: can't open control channel" and suchlike.

My card (Socket Rev G) also refuses to do anything at all if I take it out and put it back in, or suspend, or even don't boot with it inserted. That I can live with for now, I'd rather get rfcomm working to some degree.

But as I say, I believe the rfcomm problem is simply due to the kernel lacking -mh patches. If that's not the case, I'm very happy to debug with someone on IRC.

*Bump*

I note that there are now only fixed bugs listed on the pdaXrom site.

Any update on when we'll be seeing the finished product?

Cheers,

We are working hard on fixing the last few bugs - but the total rewrite on many of the "built-in" apps are taking longer than expected. So please be patient and hopefully i can soon post an update again.

Are you having troubles with xircp in the current version. If so let me know, and i will try and fix them/help you figure out the problem. I almost have a new version of xircp that should be a bit better, as it will have a status bar now so that you will know if the file is transfering or not. but yeah, let me know if you are having problems with it.

Affraid not - we are looking into http://www.handhelds.org/projects/xscribble.html - but "anyone" should be able to compile it and use it. We will probally come back with that later :-)

Shall we have the possibility to change pointer device in new build of TinyX? USB mice are nice...

You may know this already, but you won't be able to plug a USB mouse into the Z without first sacrificing the CF slot and some money to a USB master adaptor - the Z is a USB slave device, like a mouse

I've an usb host card (it stands in my signature ), my usb mouse works with it well (I've tested it in gpm), but pdaxrom's tinyx build uses only /dev/ts as pointer device for now (it's hardcoded).
