nmap, nc, telnet, ftp, etc???

Just a little stumped... PDAXRom rocks... ordered a c860 just because of this rom, in fact, my Clie UX50 auction is just about to end on eBay

Question:  Why am I having such a hard time finding what I consider *essential* apps?  I searched this forum for 'nmap' and found only 3 or 4 non-helpful posts, but if you search for "doom" you get several pages.  Heh.

Anyway,. I am preparing to try compiling some of these myself but thought I would post here first.  Does anyone have working .ipk files for netcat, ftp (regular - some machines don't support sftp), telnet (there are still some uses for telnet out there.. i.e. testing open ports on servers, sending smtp mail, etc.), nmap, etc?  All these (and A LOT more) are available for the other Sharp ROMs...

I have been looking everywhere without much luck.

Take a look on http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus too. Much of the stuff on there is for Qtopia based  ROMs, but there's also a fair amount of command line stuff which should work on anything.

There's also OZ, which has a fair few apps in the feeds, though you'll have to be careful about library versions and the ipk format is ar rather than tar.gz so you'll need to repackage them to use on pdaXrom.

I posted another thread about an app-wishlist for the next release.

I want to re-org my dirs at zaurus.spy.org after the next release --
and hopefully have some way to make ain index so you won't have
to scour the the site/links to find things.

I think it's also worthwhile to make some sort of page/chart/list of things
that work with certain roms... ie: there was python for x11 rom, but
not for pdaxrom -- but does the x11 rom python work for pdaXrom?
the zsdk works for 1.0.5 -- but does it work for 1.0.1?  etc.
