@danr: I used the citibank-account in London for payment. I live in germany, and this account was the nearest for me, also it should accept wires in €. I cannot say how long it took my bank to transfer the money from germany to GB, but the guy form www.pricejapan.com (I gues his name is Kaneda) seems to check it rather often. I had some problems, although i thought i filled in the wire form correctly(in €), the money showed up in GBP.

It also seems to me that one has to order by E-Mail if he/she wants to use the london-account, since the account is (or was) not mentioned in the list in the order form. But since Mr. Kaneda is answering mails really fast, one should have no problem.

BTW. my C860 from pricejapan.com is soon to arrive, so i might add another positive remark about pricejapan soon, too.

I transfered from my UK HSBC account to the citybank account last night. No problems making the transfer my end. Just waiting to hear back from him now. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi Dan,

Sorry to hear the money didn't get through.  I managed to send my money from Lloyds TSB to Citibank using CHAPS (which cost £20 unfortunately).  Rather worryingly, after informing Kanada of the transfer, he sent me back slightly different account details.

The original details were

Quote
account name:  Sangyeun CHO
    IBAN: GB85CITI18500250683901
    (or, account No. 0506839017 )
    Citibank, N.A.  London
    Sort code: 18-50-08
and the updated ones are

Quote
( Payment to ) Citibank, N.A.
336 Strand, London
Sort code: 18-50-08
account No.; 10125288
Reference : CHO 506839017

1. If you cannot write above reference information(CHO 506839017) on internet banking,
You cannot place its wire by internet banking.
You may have to go to bank desk for its wire placement.

(this information is also on http://www.pricejapan.com/html/gbpbank.htm)

I sent the money by CHAPS using the account name, account num and sort code shown in the first quote, with reference "(my name) for SL-C860".  The money got through after about a day, but Kanada didn't inform me of it for three days, so there I was worrying about whether the money had gone into a hole somewhere.  It was a relief when I received an email to say the Zaurus had been shipped to the UK.  Two days later the package was on my desk at work.

Hey danr, thanks for your info. I too had that money dissapearing into a hole feeling! Your theory seems to be right, I had a mail from Kaneda confirming he has changed bank accounts. The account number of that new one looks a little more promising. I'll make the transfer to the new account and report back. Might be a while though as our Japanese friend is off on his hols for a week.

Thanks Again

Dan

I just ordered a C860 to replace my dead C760 from them last week ( while they were on vacation). Total with DHL shipping to the US was 601 bucks. Received an email from them on the 24th ( the day they said they'd be back from vacation) saying they'd shipped my device out and checked the tracking number. Sure enough they'd sent it out already and DHL had tried delivering it to my door 6 hours earlier

As usual, it takes longer for the device to make it 10 miles across town than it does to make it half way around the world. My 860 arrived from Price Japan in one piece. The price of 860s even dropped 10 bucks since I bought mine last week

Another thumbs up for PriceJapan.  My C860 arrived extremely quick (3 days) and it was a steal at $579 delivered.
