First of all - the installer is going to be reworked when finally released - so there should be no confusion.. Actually the latest ROM shouldn't have no need for the Ashley script - its all built in and smarter - you just need to know how to find it :-)

Anyway - im busy keeping up with all the bug reports..

I downloaded the latest ashley script, everything goes fine until I flash with RC2, it gets to 72%, then it kicks me back to the main menu.

I have a c750, used to run pdaxrom 1.0.5 with a single partition.

first of all, thanks to the pdaxrom team for his work

i've only one bug, i can't read my sd anymore
it's strange, when i read this card on my pc, i've all the files, but in the Z, with or without the SD card i can see in /mnt/card a directory called Documents

a cat /etc/fstab give me for the SD
/dev/mmcd/disc0/part1     /mnt/card     auto       noauto,owner    0 0

dmesg give me for SD
[SD]-clustsize = 4000

but when i try a fdisk /dev/mmcd/disk0
i receive unable to open /mmcd/disk0

and the more strange, with the card in the Z, an umount /mnt/card says that /mnt/card is not mounted (but accessible lol)

i also wanted to know why the panel don't show the running apps and why you didn't choose a more common desktop (with custom icons on a simple desktop)? in short, a more KDE or windows approach, I don't understaind this choice but there is maybe an excellent reason

ergh..... It's even worse than i thought...

* tried to install Katherin RC2, flashing stopped at 72% and i went back to menu. Rebooting only gives me the little tux and tha flashing square...

* used Ashley's script to revert to default kernel and partions to default. tried to flash cacko 1.21, by 75 i got

I had previously used ashley's script with 1.0.5, and everything above 1.0.5 from our core team test roms, to RC1 developer rom, to RC2 public rom has worked fine flashing it normal, and it keeps the nice big root partition.

I had a similar problem, flashing the sd-card with fat16 solved the problem for me (using a sdcard reader under winxp).

I re tried reverting to default and then reflashed RC2, and it worked
but not with a single partition  ... Never mind, i will wait for official release to correct this.

Thanks go out to sash and crew for a great release...

Couple of things:
Firstly, to all the people talking about how to use ashley's patch by using the 1.05 installer, or using that installer to repartition, *you do not need to*!!!  Just have a look in the appropriately named 'NAND Flash Utils' menu in the new 1.1.0 installer.

Secondly, I experienced the same thing as a previous poster with GAIM - upon sending a message, it crashes without any error; just disappears.  I will be checking this out, after I deal with the next issue.

When I suspend using the power button on the back of my C860, all seems to be well, but when I try to return from suspend, it brings up the screen again for about 1 second, then goes back to suspend!  After trying this a couple of times, I forced something to 'interrupt' the re-suspend process by inserting my cf wifi card as soon as I brought it back from suspend.  This worked, once.  However, now It's gone into suspend and will not come back no matter what I do.

I'll keep playing around, though, and see what I come up with.

I have noted down all the "ideas"  and bugfixes :-)

And now a IMPORTANT message - if you need to add something to somewhere in order to get your BLAH-BLAH card working - please post what you added and where you added it. That way we can included it in the next release and make the pdaXrom more userfriendly for those who don't know how to do it..

This is what I did to get my Hawking CF LAN card (CF-686TX) working in pdaXrom:

Added the following under ethernet adapter definitions in /etc/pcmcia/config:

Don't do it that way. I have a 750 and the same thing happend to me.

Suspend with the Suspend command in the Start Menu in X.

Resume with the ADDRESS button.

Works fine that way.

Dillo - set it up using the settings - and use the full adress like http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080

next question about dillo broswer is there a java plug in so java web sites can be viewed such as hotmail.
