Aggreavtion with wireless

I'm using the Zynergy rom on my 5600 with the pre-emptive kernel post here on the zug. I want to be able to use iwconfig to change my card rate. I've noticed using the gui tool, it seems I'm stuck at 11Mb. When I try to set my bitrate I get this error:

Set failed on device eth0 ; Function not implemented

I've tried installing wireless tools but I get a package error. How can I fix this? Also how can I fix the package issue. I've had alot of pacakge that installing from the terminal will fail because the package is not right or something. I have to install from the terminal because the ipkg gui will quit when I try to install. ANy help is appreciated.

I had problems installing packages until I figured out they have to be in the ROOT of the flash card, not within a directory. I don't know if this applies to you, but just a thought.
