When I read my yahoo mail in Opera, I can't press any of the web-based buttons thus eliminating my ability to delete unwanted spam Has anyone else experienced this and, more importantly, fixed it?

I had the same problem using opera 6. You need to install opera 7.30 available here on zug. This will take care of it.

will 7.30 overwrite/replace 6 or will it be considered a separate app from the original?

Speaking for my setup -- SL-5500 with Sharp rom 3.13 --
Opera 6 comes with the rom and can't be changed, overwritten, or anything.
When I installed opera 7.30 it went to internal ram, thus taking up space.
I cannot access opera 6, just opera 7.
