Calm down, and first try re-flashing. First OZ 3.5.1, then go backwards trying other ROM images, like OZ 3.3.5, or 3.2. If none of them work, then tell us so, and we'll offer more suggestions.
Sorry. I just don't have the time...

You can get a CF reader for a PC (USB connection).  I got one at Radio Shack for about $20.

There are also (electro-mechanical?) PCMCIA <-> CF adapters (I got one with my SanDisk WLAN card). I now use it to directly access CF cards in my Notebook.

Whenever I had a bad flashing experinece with oz, (which happens) the most effective solution I came up with is to reflash the sharp rom. This always works, then from there reflash oz. A few months ago I flashed oz without plugging in the ac adapter. This totally bricked my z. It was completely dead to the world. I flashed OSPACK (sharp rom) and It came to life again! Then flashing oz worked perfectly. So don't dispair, not all is lost.

Click here  and download the file OSPACK (it's at the very bottom of the page) and put it on a cf card. Flashing procedure is identical to openzaurus which you are already familiar. Good Luck and let me know how it goes
