offroadgeek & yasen: thanks!

yasen: There's no real "reason" I used the blue gradient... I was just going for a very simple design with as few colours as possible (to keep it clean). The colour gradients can be modified to pretty much any colours quite easily. In fact, the page could have many colour schemes. I'll generate a few colour alternates for the logo tonight as an example.

Thanks Greg2. Here's another logo I've knocked up. I'll create an interface for it soon. Hmm, I guess I must like blue and gray after all!

I really like the first logo.  I don't know about the tie-dye colors though

Keep working, I love the concepts

yzord I like blue too but resently found out that darker colors based on red and yellow are very relaxing for the eyes when.
The second logo is cool too. A litel bit abstract but cool. Nice work

http://www.dangerz.net/dz/zsi2/piii/

A new layout I'm testing.  As well, there are some screenshots there of parts of the ZSI2.  One is the 'enter comment/vote' form.  One is the 'edit license' form.  One is the 'manage categories' part in the admin section.  The final is just a project page.

I was just playing and I wanted a change from programming, so I decided to throw a quick layout together.

Not altogether finished with this one (especially with your new layouts dz!!!), but I thought I'd throw it up for comments. This is fairly easy to convert to (mostly) css.

yzord: I really like your first logo.  You should try some more layouts with that.  The second logo I think is too confusing.

I like the way your layouts are heading though

Okay, here's an attempt with the my first logo. It's kind of an "ice" theme...

For those that worry, the whole page as one big picture is only ~28kb. Once cut down to chunks, and stuff changed to css etc, it'll be tiny.

I wanted to address some of the new layouts etc, however, you're site seems to be down dz...

Thoughts?

Very cool yz!  I like how it all works up top now; it's not just wasted space.

A little heavy on the graphics, but it's all good.  Good job

dz & amrein: Thanks for the nice words! I wouldn't worry about graphic sizes, as the palette's easily fit into 7bit colour gifs/pngs (and can be quite small).

Here's a version I made (in about 20 seconds!) with a different colour scheme (for those that don't care for the blues). It's a "gold" theme:

Thoughts? BTW, any suggestions would be great. I do think that my designs are somewhat "standard", but that's only because I didn't want to go too nuts (miniaturizing elaborate designs can be difficult).

Hi everybody. I'm brand-new to these forums. In fact, I don't even have a Zaurus yet. I've got one coming from Amazon in about a week. I would love to work up a design for the ZSI2 if I have some time. When does this contest end?
