Toasted SD Card?
« on: October 12, 2004, 03:46:01 pm »
I'm getting an error when running "ls" on the card...

# ls /mnt/card/

ls: /mnt/card/Documents: Input/output error

(one error line for each directory in the card root EXCEPT home and usr, which I think were the ones created by the pdaxrom OS, as opposed to the other dirs which I created on a linux box)

I formatted the card ext3 on the linux box desktop, then moved the SD card onto the Z. Should I not use ext3? Is it better to do the formatting on the Z? Does it matter?

THanks!

Not sure ext3 is supported (though it may depend on your ROM).

You'll need to umount the card and run fsck on it to fix it.
