Hancom-mobile-sheet 1.5.0 on C860
« on: October 26, 2004, 03:50:49 am »
I tried, rather misguidedly, to "upgrade" the Hancom mobile sheet 1.0 on my c-860 with a Hancom-mobile-sheet 1.5.0 ipk which presumably came from the 5600 or thereabouts. As the latter was for a different screen resolution, there are various display problems on the c860 (but, surprisingly, not for Hancom mobile word 1.5.0).

Can anyone offer any comments on how to reconfigure it to "look normal", or offer any other comments?

Did you resolve the issue with Handcom Mobile Sheet 1.5.0? If so, how did you go about uninstalling the default version 1.0.1 which comes with the C860?

Is it advisable to install the version 1.5.0 ipk's on the C860 without uninstalling  the older versions.

Thanks in anticipation,
Ashu

No, I didn't solve the problem. I ended up going back to a backup to get rid of the 1.5.0 version.

And no, I did not try to uninstall the older version first - I don't think you can do that as it is in ROM.

Thanks for your info. Looks like it's safe to stick with the older version then.
