Sorry for crossposting, but I figured this question would be better placed here:

Is this version of Fluxbox supposed to work with RC5? Because I'm getting the following error: "fluxbox: relocation error: fluxbox: symbol __floatsisf, version GCC_3.0 not defined in file libgcc_s.so.1 with link time reference".

Quite a mouth full

Anyway, it looks as if either it expects a different libgcc version, or it's compiled with a different float setting (which changed between RC5 and the previous version). Or is this just a matter of upgrading a package?

Any help is appreciated.

For setting the height of the bar:
edit /home/root/.fluxbox/init
find the line :

session.screen0.toolbar.height: 16

and change the 16 to something like 24 or 32 and reload the config or restart X

For getting the menu to popup with the menu key
edit /home/root/.fluxbox/keys
and add a line:

None XF86Start :RootMenu

and reload the config or restart X

The pb is that the menu appears under the mouse cursor, a nice hack to fluxbox could be to make the menu always appear at 0,0 instead. I think it will be more usable this way.

Odd, that's where I got mine too... http://www.pdaxrom.org/unstable/fluxbox_0.9.10_armv5tel.ipk . Did you install anything special to make it run?

I found I couldn't get fluxbox to work after installing all the IPK's listed in this thread until I rebooted my Zaurus. HTH

fluxbox is nice
but how do you rotate this?

[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=51927\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Hi, samxiao

Add belows to /home/root/.fluxbox/keys and restart X

Code: [Select]
None XF86RotateWindows :exec chkhinge
edited:

Before editing, check this.

Code: [Select]
xmodmap /etc/X11/kb/corgi.xmodmap
If you want rotation manually, just 'chkhinge' in terminal.

Hi there,

i just installed fluxbox with vdesk and torsmo.
Fluxbox runs, torsmo the same, but vdesk seems
not to function. I can´t drag&drop folders or files
on the desktop, which is annoying!

Furthermore i didn´t find where to add "$battery"
so that torsmo also shows the battery-status.

Any hint/tip would help me...

Thx in advance,
Nico
