Kdeveloper On Zaurus. Other Options?
« on: December 10, 2004, 12:03:26 pm »
I'm still very new to the whole open source / Zaurus / Linux world.  A few days ago I stumbled across KDeveloper (on my Knoppix CD ... really cool, by the way  ).  KDeveloper looks really cool and it says it can work with any existing compilers... so...

Could KDeveloper work with VGA Zauri?  (It would be a little bit tight, but it should still fit on the screen)  Have anyone tried it?

If so, which compilers are the best for:
C++?
Java?
etc...?

There is more information at http://www.kdevelop.org/index.html?filenam...1/download.html.  The site also says that it has recent support for QTopia and even gives compiling instructions.

It is supposed to be the all-inclusive single-location development tool for everything.

Anyone want to try compiling it for the Zaurus?

As I recall the major complaint was that it was so slow it was unusable.  That said I have not tried it myself on the Zaurus.
