Best Mame For The 6000?
« on: December 10, 2004, 01:47:52 pm »
Has anyone gotten mame working on the 6000?
I've been playing around with several, and all have problems - sometimes my keyboard gets locked up, sometimes the screen is in teh wrong orientation, etc..

I'd really like to get this working, I have roms for the 0.77 version, if that matters.

I definitely like the 6000 so far!

Thanks, all.

My results haven't been encouraging with my test ROM (Galaga).

MaxMAME works in the default mode, but is dog slow -- something like 20%. No command line option documentation seems to exist to try and correct this, unfortunately. No sound. Attempts to fiddle with video options resulted in massive crashing.

zMame seems to display the okay screen then crash the system.

I wonder if the "soft-float" lib recompile would benefit mame...?
