Can't Turn My Z Back On After Turning It Off
« on: December 12, 2004, 04:00:26 pm »
Hi again, all. So my my OZ-GPE saga continues (not like I didn't think it was over, ...). I've got GPE-OZ 3.5.2 up & running smoothly on my SL-5600, but when I turn the unit off (by holding the Off button for several seconds), I can't turn it back on. The only way I can get it to do anything is to hard reset.

help. thks

You have to use the shutdown option in the menu.  The power button puts them in a semi-permanent reset state.

Thanks for answering my Q, Barry. I've been using OZ-OPIE & I've finally managed to get past some newbie issues like getting oz-compat installed so I could install Konquerer & XMMS, just to name a few. I'll hack around with this 'til I get more time, but I definitely want to try GPE again. I love the idea of playing nethack on my Z!
