« on: December 14, 2004, 12:14:27 am »
Ok so I'm dumber than a  post.

I just updated my SL5000d with OPIE 3.5.2. I got the wirelss working with linksys CF card but I can not find any web browser. Sooooo I think I;ll load an ipk on CF file and load it. I tried a small pakage first billardz . I  can see the file with file manager. I run packagw manager and try  "install local package". In the package field I ltype name of billardz file and nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong???

thanks,

Clarence

First, open the package manager under settings. From the drop down list select 'install local packages'. Make sure 'show packages not installed' is checked on the second dropdown list.

Also, click 'configure' from the menu and on the second tab make sure cf is one of the options.  I installed the service release and it wiped out these settings.
