Hi,
if i get you right, the LEDs become on while flashing and then get off, but nothing happens then. In this case you could try to flash the original rom. This kind of flashing is different to flashing kernel and initrd. By flashing the original, you just flash one file that includes kernel, initrd and bootloader. This bootloader flash worked sometimes like wonder.
If you want to try this way, go here:
http://www.zaurususergroup.com/UpDownload+...ad-sid-29.phtmlGet the Sharp romimage-1.13
AFAIK this is one of the one for the 5000d, but I got this Information from here:
http://www.serialio.com/support/jspZaurus.htmI am not sure, if the Sharprom 2.38, 3.10 or 3.13 also work with 5000d
If you have the original rom image shiped with the original CD, take that to go for sure. If you have once flashed 2.36,2.38,3.10 or 3.13 take that.
Rename the file to OSPACK, if it is not named so, and put it on a Fat 16 formatted Compact Flash card and flash the zaurus:
1) Plug in the power
2) Hard reset and c+d
3) Hard reset after LED lights go off
4) Turn Zaurus on
If you dont do hard Reset, nothing happens after flash. I flashed mine thousands of times and everytime I forgot the hard reset it happend nothing after flash. Hard reset is the little button in the battery case.
If you have forgotten hard reset while your flashing experience mentioned above, maybe try hard reset first, before try to flash the original sharprom, because flashing bootloader is more risky than just flashing kernel and initrd.bin
Good Luck,
Sam
