6000 - Tosa / Kismet on the 6000
« on: December 03, 2004, 01:38:04 pm »
Does anyone else's Zaurus lock up after running Kismet for so long?  I have to yank out my battery to reboot it and I can see it getting slower as kismet runs.

General Discussion / Zaurus Replacement

I have been using my two Zaurus for a good while now but I need to get something new that I would be able to buy in quantities and set up for specific applications.  The Zaurus I have now I use to test Ethernet connections with a CF NIC, Termainal allows me to ping and traceroute, the cable I got allows me to connect to devices directly, and I also have a Wireless CF card for checking on wireless signals.  Does anybody know of a device that doesn't look like it will be taken off the market in less than a year that can do all that but is still under $300 for the whole package?

6000 - Tosa / GPS and the 6000L

I was just wondering if anyone has tried hooking up a USB GPS reciever to their Z, or if an adaptor even exists that would convert a USB cable to the size a 6000 could handle.

I thought we were talking about an SL 6000 here.  Maybe I should see if I can get Kismet working on mine since I just got my SD memory in today.

6000 - Tosa / Who has a 6000?

I got my 6000L a few months back from a nice fellow on these boards.  I'm just wondering how many other people have them now that they have been out for a little while.

Is there a way on the 5500 or 6000 to scribble on typed documents?  Just to make revision notes or comments.

I bought a 6000 off of a nice gentleman here and I like every part of it except the crappy icons they made for it.  I hope to learn how to program for it so I can make a dialing program for it, like a blue box, that can save sets of tones like my calling card so I can use it at any pay phone.

General Discussion / Zaurus 5500 Adventure

Now they are all free besides a few I still have here to update my backups on.  My hopes are that they have a good life in the lands they have traveled to... One actually got lost getting shipped to it\'s destination.  I hope to put the MAC addresses of its networking cards on milk cartons everywhere to find the lost little fella.

Someone asked me to post my pics of what happened to all the Zaurii that CompGeeks had on sale for $189.  Well here it is, play by play.  I\'ll try to keep it in the best chronological order I can.

This first set of pictures is when they arrived and unpacking them.
