General Discussion / Wi-fi

Hello, bear with me please, I'm a total newbie to this whole Linux thing.

I have a CL-3200. It came with an ambicom WL1100C card. When I insert the card, the light blinks once, but it doesn't detect any networks.

I did some searching, and found this thread:
https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=24802

From what I can see, I need to edit "/etc/pcmcia/hermes.conf" to get it to work.

Where is it though? I've been browsing the hard drive but can't find this file.

Archos forum / Charging Options
« on: August 27, 2007, 09:30:02 pm »
Long story short, I've had my 604wifi charging for 3 hours via USB, and the battery icon is still stuck at 3 bars.

This is ridiculous and I don't want the $100 dollar DVR dock. Also, I read that that the $30 Docking Adapter Kit is just about as slow as USB charging.

What is my cheapest option for fast charging, be it wall powered or USB powered?

5x00 General discussions / Pointercal File

Does anyone know the format of the pointercal file?
The contents are like this
21596 0 173612 0 14745 978165 65536
If I manualy input this file I can get my 5500 to start by bypassing the calibration screen.

I have tried two different sets of numbers as above and both are far enough off that it makes the touch screen unusable.  If I knew what these numbers meant I might be able to adjust them so by digitizer works properly.

Ok, since I'm looking for the same information, here is an indirect refence: on[a href=\"http://doc.trolltech.com/4.3/qwscalibratedmousehandler.html#transform]The QWSCalibratedMouseHandler -Qt 4.3- Reference Page[/url] there's a couple of equations that use the seven numbers (a, b, c, d, e, f and s) in /etc/pointercal to translate from device coordinates (Xd, Yd) to screen coordinates (Xs, Ys). In case that page was to disappear, here are the equations:

s*Xs = a*Xd + b*Yd + c
s*Ys = d*Xd + e*Yd + f

I'll have to play a bit with it on my N800, and see what happens.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Is It Worth It To Install Pdaxrom On The C-3200?
« on: August 11, 2006, 01:14:30 pm »
I am considering getting the C-3200, but I was wondering if it would be worth it to install pdaxrom on it. I have read the threads which say that it is not running completely stable right now. I am also considering OZ, which seems to be farther ahead in C-3200 support. So, basically, I am asking these two questions.

a) Is pdaxrom stable enough with the C-3200 to be useful, or would OZ make more sense at this time.
How long do you think it would be when there is a stable release for the C-3200?

Thank you.
