Mac Issues / Can\'t get SL-5500 to sync with Mac OS 10.3

Hello,

Been trying to get my SL-5500 to sync with my PowerBook G4 for a week or more now.  I have Trolltech Qtopia desktop 1.7.0 installed on the PB.  The PB is running 10.3.

I have the 3.5 release of OpenZaurus flashed into the SL-5500.

I notice that my Sync and Sync All buttons inside Qtopia Desktop are always greyed out?

I\'m also not quite able to get the two machines to ping each other.

Any ideas?  I would love to get it to sync up... it\'s the missing link that\'s keeping me from using the SL-5500 more than my Palm T3.

YAY!! Found the c860 CD.  It was hiding with my Age of Mythology disc.

They seem to be very similar pieces of hardware.

I can try using the 760 cd to install on another machine and see if it works alright.

For Sale / Wanted / Anyone want an SL-c860?

I\'m considering selling my recently aquired Zaurus SL-C860. I got it a few weeks ago from Dynamism and played with it for about a week and it\'s been setting on my desk ever since.

It\'s a little more device than I have time to really get into at the moment for that price , especially with my wedding come up next month.  I have an SL-5500 on order for me to start on and I captured it for under $200.  I paid about $900 for the SL-C860.

Is there any interest in this device?  I\'m considering posting it on eBay.

Sharp ROMs / tkcROM flash procedure?

What\'s the reason there isn\'t a zImage file for the tkcROM?

Do I just put the initd.bin and updater.sh on a CF card and do the flash procedure?

What are some of the web browsers that people are having success with on their Zaurus.

I know that NetFront comes with the C860 and I\'ve seen some references to Opera.  I wonder if anyone has tried Mozilla, etc?

Windows Issues / PROBLEM SYNCING OZ WITH OUTLOOK

I am trying to get the syncing working between my XP machine and C860 running Sharp ROM.

I can\'t seem to ping my XP machine 192.168.0.x from my Z.  However, I can ping my Z 192.168.129.201 from the XP Machine.  I am connected via USB using TCP/IP advanced.

BTW, is there an English version of the Intellisync for Zaurus that works with C860?

Sharp ROMs / PIM file formats?

Hi,

Does anyone know what file format the Address Book, Calendar, and ToDo apps on the Sharp ROM uses?

I can\'t get my C860 with Sharp ROM to sync with anything yet, so I was wondering if there was a way to import the info from either my Mac apps, Palm Desktop, Windows Outlook, or my Palm Tungsten T3 or HP iPaq H4155?

Sharp ROMs / Anyone have Gaim running on Sharp Rom?

Currently I\'m using an English translated version of the original Sharp ROM on my C860.   I would like to get a chat programming running.

Has anyone gotten Gaim to work on the Sharp ROM or know of any other chat client that works well on the Sharp ROM?

It seems that after that press release came out, the SL-6000 got stage fright?

hummm.... when i try to start wlan0 or eth0 in the network settings, i get the error \"Starting interface failed\".

Any ideas?
