Zaurus - pdaXrom / Silkscreen Does Not Work Under Pdaxrom On Sl-c1000

Nice! I'd compile it myself, but I don't have t3h skillz yet...

yeah. I run a freenx server on my server at home ( a low watt 800mhz c3/ Debian Sarge) I can get a gui and use it over nx for pretty much the same amount of data as web surfing, though obviously the two look a bit different on iptraf.I second that. I have a NX server at home too (the latest NX server, not the freenx release), and a NXclient Java applet embedded in a web page, so all I need to do is visit that page from any computer and I'm home. It works really well, better than tightVNC.
AFAIK we have not got a zaurus pdaxrom client. Last I checked the only client around was for Old OZ (like 3.3.6) on a 5500.
there were some attempts that didn't really get much interest of follow-through over the past year or so. I guess either it was too difficult of people didn't see the point.
If you haven't played with it, give it a whirl on the desktop and monitor your traffic. I did and I was impressed.
This is a whole lot friendlier to cafe/work/other peoples connections than either vnc or a really compressed X over SSH. Not as tiny as text mode, of course. It would be a really welcome option on the Z, I think

QuoteThe problem it seems is that if I click key 125 (home) it acts as ctrl and locks on until you clickCould it be in any way related to this nasty problem?
key 121 or 122 to remove the lock.

I have aterm assigned to all silkscreen keys. When I tap e.g. the Calendar icon, aterm opens, but I can't type anything because the keyboard has been locked. Tapping any other icon opens the assigned program, but the keyboard stays locked. Only exiting X or restarting Fluxbox brings the keyboard back.None XF86Launch3 : exec aterm
Launch Fluxbox again. Nothing happens when tapping the Mail icon (as expected) but this time the keyboard doesn't lock. Note that the rest of the icons still open aterm and lock the keyboard, but only until you tap the Mail icon: it does nothing (because it has no action assigned) but the keyboard will unlock.# fluxbox -info
in console confirms the package was compiled with XMB enabled. I believe the boot-up time could be reduced quite a lot by compiling it with --disable-xmb
This worked for the desktops and the laptop I had. Maybe it could solve the problems with the fonts too.I don't mean to butt in as I don't use pdaXrom, but why couldn't Opera for linux run on pdaXrom?

I plan on getting a second Zaurus next year and flashing pdaXrom onto it, but would like to see Opera and Picsel Browser run on it.
