Let's wait for this how-to

I've got OZ 3.5.4.1 running stably on my 3100 now, and I hope to start writing a full how-to. I'm sorry for the relative silence, but I'm genuinely v busy, starting my own business, finding work etc, and sorry for letting people get this close and then not having a definitive guide.

I find bug in 5.4.4 for c3000

when i install full-image.tgz for akita and boot loader, boot flash for c3000

pdaxrom not start (

bug in the settings file /home/root/Choices/pdaxii13.conf


fix this string

Hi,

Anyone else has a problem with the m5sum's?

updater.sh: FAILED
updater-tools.bin: FAILED
initrd.bin: OK
zImage-2.4.20.bin: OK
hdimage-full.tgz: OK
md5sum: WARNING: 2 of 5 computed checksums did NOT match
I tried to download update.sh and updater-tools.bin various times with different tools (wget, links, lftp etc.) but md5sum still fails.

Same there?

Ok i just wanted to have a status as nobody was talking about it  so lets wait and see

again thank you guys . You know, some weeks ago , i thought about selling back my c3000 and buy a symbian or wm device...But now, thanks to pdaxii13 and the others distros for the 3000, i know i won t sell it for a million !

Well, selling it for anything over about $550 USD would technically be "worth it," but not having a Z for a week or so could easily make up for it.

well,
that could be a good question whether the Z (or another pda) is worth or not : i'm just coming back from a week holidays, i had my nokia 6630 and my Zaurus. well i had to say that i mostly used my nokia for mail and web browsing because it was finally quicker and easier to use... but perhaps it is mainly because the nokia has built-in umts support and not the Z... if at least a CF UMTS or CF EDGE was out and usable on the Zaurus......................but this thread is becoming little out of topic

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Xfce4 Finetuning

I know this bug in pdaxii13

use in terminal
"xrand -o right" or "xrand -o left" or "xrandr -o normal"
and them write this string in .xinitrc script in home dir.

- I can't read past page 19, keeps says too many connections from the SQL server, and that there may be a db corruption.  Hope someone can read this!

<edit>When I add this post, it shows me the post I just added, and I can in fact see what T3_slider put in.  Thanks for the tip!!</edit>

<reedit>This none-viewing thing only happened in dillo on the Z.  Using Firefox on the laptop I have no problems, so it may be a dillo thing.  Stuck the xrandr command in as suggested and alles ist gut!!  Finally I have no icons or other cluttery junk of any kind on Hiro's desktop.  (wistfully happy sigh)  And the clock's been happy today, too.  Bonus!</reedit>

i don't need big flash rom ( not need if we have big storage and may boot from him ) in zaurus , i have 8 gb cf ( work very fast )
but i not guru in linux and i dont't know how make build 5.4.4 for c3000.

I use bellow file and hdfull.tgz with out modification.

updater.sh (20KB) - v0.26
updater-tools.bin (1.2MB) - build 15
initrd.bin (2.5MB) - 0.5a
zImage-2.4.20.bin (1.1MB) - 2.4.20

There is one of 2 things that seem to be wrong.
1. The file you downloaded is not complete, is corrupt, or
2. You haven't read all the documentation for the C3000
There are files specifically designed for the C3000's small flash. I don't have a C3000, so I cannot go into detail here.
Look on the page I linked, there are these files:

EDIT:
I don't mean to sound harsh, but the SL-C3000 is completely "different" from many models in regard to flashing various ROMs, because it has such a tiny "Flash" memory area.
