Hi,

I'm in a tricky situation with my 860 right now. Whenever I try to use C+D I get both LEDs flashing. Nothing else happens:( Also from D+M I cannot select 'CF Update' because it says: SD Update, ---Found orders---, followed by 'Model Error!!' displayed in red...
The only thing that works is doing a NAND restore. However even then I can not update my 860 to anything else because I can no longer get the Japanese Update menu (OK+power).
Is there a chance I can get that Japanese Update menu back?? I'm guessing that should solve my problems.

Thanks in advance

Has anyone gotten the card to work in RC11 yet and, if so, how did they do it?

His instructions work perfectly fine on RC11 for me. Except that I need wpa, so I'll see if I can find that somewhere. Probably you have to reinsert your CF card and run the sanwifiup.sh script again...

Yes, the driver, which support this card is included in Cacko ROM 1.22, but some configuration file changes are still needed.

Since I no longer have this card, I coulnd't make it work out of the box.

I tried Cacko ROM 1.22 (nice ROM btw:P) but I could not get the card to work. I uncommented the "include" line, but unfortunately no luck (yet?).
dmesg spits out quite a lot of messages stating there is no primary firmware...

On the subject of Hostap drivers
For more than a year several people have been struggling to get the "Connect Plus" WiFi card from SanDisk to work (it has wifi + 128 Mb memory combined into a single compact flash card), and just recently support was added to hostap 0.3.2 CVS
It would be great to have support in the next rc!

Some information about the support was given here:
http://www.dsitri.de/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=97

Thanks

General Discussion / SanDisk WiFi + 128mb CF card users?
« on: January 23, 2004, 05:46:06 am »
Today I received the reply from SanDisk. This is what they said:

----------
Hello,

Our developers are working to get support for the Connect Plus card for Linux based operating systems, however, at technical support, we have not been provided with any updates at the moment.  There will be some support for the Connect Plus on Linux in the future.  Please check our web site periodically as we will post any information concerning this support,  We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused you.

I haven\'t looked at the links mentioned above yet, will do this weekend

General Discussion / SanDisk WiFi + 128mb CF card users?
« on: January 21, 2004, 02:55:55 pm »
I own that WiFi + 128Mb card, but when I put it in my Zaurus SL-C860, nothing happens.
\'cardctrl ident\' says it\'s a sandisk network card, but that\'s all I can do with it atm (i.e. neither part of the card seems to work). However I\'ve heard someone mention he got the network light blinking, but I haven\'t seen that happen with mine yet (possibly because I haven\'t been to an Access Point yet?) Asking SanDisk about it, they said it didn\'t work in Linux, but they did have the normal CF WiFi card that does work in Linux. I heard someone else mention that he\'d spoken to a SanDisk person who told him they did have the WiFi part working, but I asked SanDisk about that and they haven\'t replied... In short, it doesn\'t work (yet)
