Site Suggestions, Requests, and Updates / Newbie forum requested

My initial hope was that we could help each others with some of the basic problems that all beginners face with the Z and that some of the many super-users would step in when our combined ignorance isn\'t enough to solve the problem at hand. When answering questions from a newbie-forum everbody would then know that the answer(s) should be put in as simple a language as possible and preferably without too much slang involved. But perhaps we aren\'t that many total rookies in here?

Hi all,

This is really a great site with tons of info! My problem is that 75 % of it goes over my head since I know very, very little about both Zaurus and Linux. Would it be an idea to make a newbie-forum, where beginners can meet and share experiences on the first steps with their Zs in as simple a language as possible?

Security and Networking / Zaurus 5600 - Inconsistent Wireless Connectivity

It is not the battery in my case. I am playing with it directly from the craddle and it is fully powered up. I have just made a full reset and reinstalled all the apps and now there is no problem connecting to the internet.  I really hope it stays like that.

Har netop købt en SL5500 i USA og er vældig imponeret. Det er dog noget af en tidsrøver at komme igang med når man ikke er vant til hverken Linux eller Zaurus. Lige nu sidder jeg og bikser med wifi forbindelsen, der bliver ved med at forsvinde. Ellers virker den glimrende. Har nogle af jer \"super-brugere\" forresten et par ideer til gode programmer el. og hvilken ROM kører i med?

Security and Networking / Zaurus 5600 - Inconsistent Wireless Connectivity

Help! I have now played around with the thing for several hours and I still cannot get it to connect to the internet. It worked yesterday but suddenly stopped. I have a SL5500 and run Sharp 3.13 with Symbol cf wifi. I have the driver installed. The little \"globe-thing\" is missing in the icon bar and the card doesn\'t send \"beem signals\" from it either. Instead the cf card just shows up as a normal cf card. In Settings-]Network-]Current it just says \"No connection defined\". Does anyone have an idea?
