Software / Getting Wellenreiter to function on OZ 3.3.5
« on: March 15, 2004, 11:23:11 pm »
The article was helpful.  However, after making sure that I followed the steps listed, I ran wellenreiter from the command line and got an error of \"wellenreiter: error while loading shared libraries: libgcc_s.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory\"  Im pretty sure that libgcc isnt a package i need to install...

anyone have some forsight into this?

Software / Getting Wellenreiter to function on OZ 3.3.5

can anyone point me in the direction of a guide to get wellenreiter working?  ive found one site (iron geek) that had me install the following:

libopiecore2_1.8.2-20031219.2_arm.ipk
libopienet2_1.8.2-20031219.2_arm.ipk
libopieui2_1.8.2-20031219.2_arm.ipk
libpcap0_0.7.2-1_armv4l-strongarm.ipk

after installing these, i installed the wellenreiter package.  after rebooting, the icon appeared in my applications tab, but the program won\'t run.  no errors, the program just doesn\'t run.

if anyone has any advice or a link to point me at, i would appreciate it.  thanks in advance.

Security and Networking / Zaurus as a Seurity tool

I have Nessus set up on a couple of work Linux servers, for vulnerability testing, and notice there is a Nessus client for the Zaurus. Unfortunately, I\'ve never got it to work. It installs, but doesn\'t login to the nessusd.

i haven\'t played with this myself, but i read on the znessus homepage that the znessus client doesn\'t support the default nessus certificate authentication.  i would assume that you would most likely need to disable nessus\' default encryption requirements.

i dont know if youd neccesarily want to run nessus unencrypted, however.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / opie-ftp

interesting.  i notice that the links you provided point at version 1.0.3.  i downloaded 1.1.1 from the opie.handhelds.org site.  i\'ve had a few problems with stuff ive found on here, so im thinking that perhaps it\'s just got many broken links.  :/

anywho, in the future ill be sure to check out the feed dir for alternate versions of applications before spamming the forums.

Has anyone else had troubles with dependencies that \'opie-ftp\' has on \'opieftp\' ?

opie-ftp, which is the replacement for opieftp, tries calling \'opieftp in \'./opt/QtPalmtop/bin/opieftp\'.  ive tried installing the package both into ram and rom.  when i run the application shortcut, i get an error \"could not locate application \'opieftp\'.

any insights?

also, it should be noted that several of the files that arent behaving properly were retrieved from the opie applications download page.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / ipkg problem

hullo all:

ive noticed that using ipkg to install packages sometimes works and sometimes doesn\'t.  im attempting to install opieftp, and i get the error \"Cannot find package <opieftp>.ipk.  Check the spelling or perhaps run \'ipkg update\'\".

im quite sure that the spelling is indeed correct, and i attempted to do an ipkg update.  any insight into what might be the problem here?
