Keola,
You need to know these things right now:
SL5600 only supports regular SD cards. Not the faster newer types since it doesn\'t have the hardware builtin to work with those types.
You need to probably format your CF or SD card VFAT and as type FAT=16 for it to work properly when flashing. The ZUG feed will give you ipk\'s and works great via a CF WIFI card. Very easy to use once you have it up and running. The 5600 has USB device but not host capability. So it is treated as a device that your PC\'s host controller talks to. It can\'t support another device by itself. So don\'t by a CF USB device and expect the 5600 to control it. It doesn\'t have the hardware builtin. There is a CF based USB controller card but I haven\'t been to the site to see if any Zaurus drivers are available. Last I heard there weren\'t. What else? Let\'s see:
Search the ZUG forums for topics about your interests. Lot\'s of info stored there. I\'d run the latest Sharp ROM 1.32, patch the kernel with the cache bug fixed, and add ipks from ZUG, Opie.handheld.org, or www.killefiz.de. The pocketop keyboard works great with the fonts from www.currybrothers.com and the IRK preinstalled in the Sharp ROM. Try out www.pocketworkstation.org too! Don\'t get discouraged since the SL-5600 is in between the mass of development done on the SL-5000 or 5500 and the clamshell C[7-8]x0 types. Our PDAs came out after the OZ developers switched to OE to bring about a much better build environment. The 3.3.6pre1 was a kind gesture by them to help us out. Also, 3.3.6pre1 was built with gcc3 instead of gcc2 so isn\'t compatible with alot of software in the feeds. So, for your needs you will have to figure out which ROM supports what you really have to have. I can\'t have what I want yet because no ROM supports all the options I\'d like yet for the 5600. Hope this helps you a bit. Take a look at this link:

That will help you some. If anyone wants to chime in and correct me where I am wrong, please do.
