Windows Issues / Windows XP Blue Screen upon USB driver install
« on: April 06, 2004, 06:30:04 pm »
I have two XP machines. I upgraded the ROM of my Z to 3.10 as well as the apps. I got everything to work on my desktop with XP.
I install Intellisync and QT desktop on my Toshiba Satellite laptop with no problems.
I reboot and plug in the Z.
It recognizes the device and starts to install the USB driver. I point the driver installer to the \"driver\" sub-directory of the newly installed <Sharp Zaurus 2> directory created in C:Program Files.
After continuing beyond the certification warning, the .sys files start to copy.
After all the files appear to be copied - BAM Blue Screen flashes for .1 second and laptop reboots.
After a couple reboots like this - I see the file name \"libusbfl.sys\" with some type of STOP and DUMP.
Any ideas as how I can resolve this?
I have tried to install without my USB mouse with the same results, and there are no other USB devices connected to this laptop.
