I am using a C700 with Cacko rom on a Mac running OSX.  I was using Ko/Pi, since I installed the new KDEPIM, I noticed that the syncing with Ical works, but only if I only enter information into the Z.  IF I enter anything on the Mac, it will not sync with the Z anymore.  I know there are problems with the Libical, but it seemed to work better with Ko/Pi 1.7.7.

Alos my Z could not see the new package when I tried to instal the new version of KDE PIM

I installed the file, but cannot get it to import any data.  I might be doing something wrong but nothing happens when I try.  I have a C700.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Thinking of switching

Well the big uses for me are PIm functionality (which I use KO/Pi, and I know this runs on it), and some light word processing and note taking, picture viewing, mp3 playing.

I do some other things, but those are the main ones.  I dont mind having to play around to get stuff working (already have to do that), although I would like things to work.

I think I may just try it out and see for myself.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Thinking of switching

I am thinking of seitching to the pdaxrom, but before I try it out, I wanted to know how complete it is compared to cacko rom (I am using a C700).  Does it have the fix for the pxa250 to make sure it runs ok?  I guess I want to know if someone who is not a real programmer/developer can use the rom without to much trouble.   Thanks.

Everything was working fine for me, but now, I cannot add anything to the calendar on my mac, or the Zaurus quits during the sync.  Anyone have this happen before?

I am trying to connect to my cell phone via a cable connection through a lan card.  Where can I enter the login scripts that are needed from my carrier (i.e. send cr, connect, atdt etc)

Accessories / Microdrive question

i have a 4gb microdrive, and I am having (or had) a problem with it.

I copied some music to it, (it was working fine for about 2 weeks), it gell on a carpet from about 2 feet, and then put it in my Z, and it would eventually acknowledge it was there, but couldn\'t read or access it.  Same with PC and Mac (the PC said it had an I/) error.  I tried the cardctl status, and it tels me it is a 3.3v 16 bit pc card, then it says:
function 0: [ready]. [bat dead], [bat low]

I have no idea what this means.  I finally got pissed and tapped the card on my desk, and it now works again.  The status read out is the same now as it was when it wouldn\'t be read by the Z.

Is this normal for a microdrive?  Is mine not working great?

I used the steps outlines by ericwork above exactly (I had to create the directory and three files myself).  Then I was able to connect.  I also think part of my problem was that I had the power saving features on, which terminated the connection whenever the mac went into power save mode (although this IS NOT what stopped me from connecting originally).  Hope this helps.

Software / XU4 problems : Bus error - anybody got this game running?

I have the C700 and have had a problem getting this to work.  I think it is the LibSDL.  Most of the ones I have found, including some made for the C700, I cannot seem to instal on my Z (I am using the Cacko rom).  Anyone else have this problem and fixed it?  Thanks.

I am connected through the network (dsl router).  The DSL router is part of the network router.  The info entered as the nameserver is what my computer uses to connect to the network, not what the router uses to connect to the internet (if that makes sense).
