Hey, I just installed it on the SL-5600 today. I was having the same problem as you and I tried everything..... and then I uninstalled the 1.9 server and installed 0.0.8 instead and all of my problems disappeared. You cant get it [a href=\"http://osdn.dl.sourceforge.jp/xqt/8142/xqt-server_0.0.8_arm.ipk]<-Here->[/url]

this will clear up all of your problems. I would also suggest following all of the post install suggestions found <-Here->. If you have any problems after this let me know. PM me or something and I'll help you out.

For Sale / Wanted / CF WIFI 802.11b CARD can work with Zaurus
« on: July 28, 2004, 06:25:28 pm »
Does the SMC card support RF Mon? What about these Orinoco CF cards that are being sold on ebay. I've noticed that Proxim's site does not list them anywhere is anyone familar w/ these CF cards?

Derek, yes those are the files that you need, place them in the root directory of your CF card flash the rom like you normally would and you\'ll be good to go. Dont forget to read the thread listed previously.

General Discussion / Flashing a Socket wifi card
« on: June 17, 2004, 06:52:01 pm »
I\'ve been trying to figure out a way to make my Socket Low Power wifi card more compatible with common wifi apps, I had read somewhere that Socket used the Intersil chipset and that I could flash the ROM and achieve my desire. I downloaded WinUpdate.0.7.0 and some other Intersil tools none of which recognize my  wifi card as a Prism card.  I\'ve placed my wifi card in a CF to PCMCIA adapter and inserted it into my laptop (this is how I\'m attempting to flash the rom). The OS detects the card. Some of the other Intersil utilites also see the card yet do not interact w/ it. My main goal here is to be able to run apps like Kismet w/ my socket card. Any suggestions? Am I dreaming?

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Installing Apps on OZ
« on: June 15, 2004, 07:46:41 pm »
If I use this method of moving everything to the SD, will I still be able to remove my SD card on the fly to load ipkgs w/ the SD card reader on my laptop? or would that crash the system?

I\'m assuming I could still do it aslong as not apps are actively running. Just want to make sure before I hose my install. (again   )

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / success with OZ and the 5600 !!
« on: June 12, 2004, 10:22:47 am »
Since this thread doesn\'t specify inorder to load OZ3.3.6pre1 you need to get the Rom here:
http://openzaurus.org/official/experimenta...dle/3.3.6-pre1/

I loaded it lastnight, it\'s beautiful. The only problem I\'m having so far is that although my wifi card pulls an IP, I am unable to use IRC or use Opera to pull webpages. I plan on flashing my Socket wifi card today and maybe this will resolve the issue.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / OZ on the SL-5600
« on: June 12, 2004, 10:14:52 am »
All it said was \"Starting Opie-login with syslog logging\" and returned me to the command prompt. I ended up going with OZ3.3.6pre1 poodle. I tried to get 3.3.5 to work for a while and didn\'t have any luck. 3.3.6pre1 works and it\'s beautiful!

Anyone else with a 5600 who would like to run OZ you can get it here:
http://openzaurus.org/official/experimenta...dle/3.3.6-pre1/

Also read this thread:

Thanks for trying to help me out lardman!

I\'ve just installed OZ 3.3.5 on my 5600.  However, there\'s no GUI, I\'ve tried loading Opie via: /etc/init.d/opie start  Still no luck, I get \"Starting Opie-login with syslog logging\" and then another prompt. Any Suggestions? I\'ll keep reading in the mean time....

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / OZ on the SL-5600
« on: June 10, 2004, 06:50:04 pm »
Up untill this point I\'ve always used the Sharp Rom that came w/ my 5600. I\'m looking to switch to another Rom. OZ\'s Website would lead one to believe that it can\'t be installed on the 5600 (aside from the new test release 3.3.5) Has anyone else had success w/ OZ on the 5600? Any recommendations? If the stable releases can not be loaded on the 5600, any recommendations for a good alternative?
