Security and Networking / Wireless and power prob

Ok, this one has me stumped. I have an SL5500 running OpenZaurus 3.2 and a Symbol CF wireless card. My card works quite well when I have the unit on battery power. I can access the internet and ping any site or system on my local network. When I plug the unit in to AC power, I can no longer access anything on the network or ping any IPs (including my access point). The weirdest part is, I can still ping my Zaurus from any other machine on my network.
I'm wondering if there is a script or something that runs when AC power is returned to the unit and something in that script is messing up my wireless card. I do not have the USB port on the docking station connected to my computer and it does the same thing just plugging the AC adapter directly in to the Z. If anybody had any idea on how to resolve this issue or knows of a fix, your input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Ian
