Does anybody know how to add support (i.e. which files to modify) for this card under OE? It would be nice if we could find a way to get this card working "out-of-the-box" in time for the first release...

From what I have seen playing around with it, it seems that they are using an updated version of bluez, thus all the config files have changed (there is no /etc/bluetooth/uart file anymore)

5x00 Hardware / Bricked??

Hello everyone,

yesterday I was messing around with my 5500 (just finished flashing my newly compiled opie-image with OE   ) trying to configure my d-link BT card when it suddendly hung.   I turned it off, pressed the reset button, plugged in the AC directly (thinking it might have been a dead battery even though at the moment it hung it was in the cradle) and then tried to turn it on, but no luck though.  
What is weird is that the battery charge light comes on for about 10 seconds and then it shuts off, which has never happened before. I even tried a re-flash with and without the battery (but with the ac plugged in of course)  and it seems to work since both mail and battery light stay on for a good 5 minutes. I've also replaced the battery with an old one that I had, but it shows the same symptoms.
Last thing i tried was removing the cf card, the sd card and the battery and letting it sit overnight, but so far nothing has changed.

Any ideas on what it could be? Should I perhaps try to re-flash with another image?

Is there any support/howto/instructions for bluetooth on OZ 3.3.6pre1 with Collie? I don't see any bluez packages (other than modules) in the experimental feed. Do I have use the ipks on the bluez website?

Deals and Great Z Buys / Do not buy Bluemonkey CF from Expansys

Today received my order for a 256MB SD Card and a Bluemonkey CF Bluetooth card from Expansys Europe.  
Unfortunately the CF card they sent me was NOT a bluemonkey but a no-name card, which obviously does not work with the Z.   When I called the rep to inform her about the mistake she candidly told me that it has happened before to other people and that they DO NOT HAVE nor receive anytime soon the Bluemonkey card, so that I should either return, buy a more expensive card, or just plain suck-it up.  

What pisses me off is that I'll even have to pay for shipping to return the fscking thing...
