Zaurus - pdaXrom / How To Add Other Glibc Locales
« on: February 17, 2006, 05:15:23 am »
Hi all,

After more than 10 months away from pdaXrom, i'm very happy to reinstall it.
I've seen that now there is glibc locales which is good thing.
Is it possible to have fr_FR@euro (or just fr_FR) or how to compile/install it.
An other distro (OZ) have this but i definitely prefer pdaXrom.

PS: I've compiled mutt, procmail, bogofilter, db3 and some other thing. I'll upload them next week.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Do You Want These Apps?

You can download them (not all for now) here:
My rc9 feed

Other to follow.

scoutme: howto install getmail (you need python-distutils)
download getmail from the official website, put it somewhere on your z, tar xvfz getmail-x.x.x.tar.gz
cd getmail-x.x.x python setup.py install .

I don't know how to make ipk for python apps, sorry.

Hi,

I've compiled these apps:

mutt 1.5.8i
getmail 4.2.0
procmail 3.22
msmtp 1.3.6
mrxvt 0.3.13
zsh 4.2.3
abook 0.5.3
aspell 0.60 (Which dictionary do you want? I use only French)
lua 5.0.2
ion 3ds-20050116 but need modified binding as the standard one aren't Zaurus friendly

I can distribute them on my website or on the unstable pdaxrom feed.

I only need to learn how to make ipk.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Mutt And Locale
« on: March 01, 2005, 04:50:16 am »
Hi

I've compiled mutt, and as i'm french i use accented characters but the mutt pager do not print them
because $LANG always report C which is apparently us-ascii.
I can use ISO-8859-1 charset with terminal (aterm, xterm, mrxvt, etc...), vim but not mutt pager.

How to set $LANG for other than C ?
xfree430-addon is installed on my SL-C860 with RC9.
