Sharp ROMs / Cacko Rom 1.22 Hotfix A Is Available!
« on: February 08, 2005, 04:23:29 am »
After installing the hotfix, I found that my WLAN card is not working after a suspend. On a freshly booted Zaurus it works perfect, but when I suspend and resume again and try to connect again, it tries/blinks for approx. 5s and then goes to "Network Offline" (Autoconnect is off). After a reboot everything works again. If I remove my card before suspending and put it back in after resume everything works. It is a Lnksys compatible (manfid: 0x0274, 0x1612)
It was working before the hotfix...

Any hints?

Thanks

Sharp ROMs / Hancomsheet Save / Save As
« on: February 08, 2005, 04:15:09 am »
Thanks for the check...
I also had the idea, that it checks for xls files. But I only have 1 xls-file on the whole zaurus...
I'm using a SD card so the bad-symlink-idea sounds good. But is there a way to find that out?
I already tried to start from console, but there is no output, and starting with "strace hancomsheet" didn't give any useful information (at least for me :-))

Sharp ROMs / Hancomsheet Save / Save As
« on: February 07, 2005, 02:52:52 pm »
When I try to save a newly generated file with HancomSheet, the application "hangs". I'm able to switch to the desktop only with the "HOME" key. Touchscreen is not working, but keys are. After killing
hancomsheet from the konsole command line, everything works again.
If I open a existing xls-file in hancomsheet, I'm able to modify and save it. But if I try to do "Save as" application hangs again.

I'm using cacko 1.22a.

Any hints?

Thanks !

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Hide Matchbox Panel

Is there a shortcut key or another easy way to hide the matchbox panel in order to get more space on the screen?

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Ka/pi Or Some Other Address Program
« on: January 14, 2005, 07:00:48 pm »
I was able to compile the applications of the kdepim package 1.9.16. There where only some minor tweaks necessary to make them run.
kapi works ok
kopi works ok
Additional applications in this package are: pwmpi (Passwordmanager), working, ompi (email client) working (partly), kammu (? / untested)
The "problem" with this package is, that it is somehow closely related to qtopia. So there are some additional tweaks necessary to adjust e.g. to the screen size...
Also I was not able to get the alarm functionallity (wakeup from suspend) working, because it also uses qtopia. I think there are some more changes necessary to get this working.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Even If Simple Alarm In Pdaxrom?
« on: January 14, 2005, 04:55:19 pm »
There is an rtc-test program which runs under pdaXrom. You find it at rtc-test.c.
Also there is a program called apmsleep. It's available in the debian archive apmd for the arm architecture. It kind of works. It suspends the C860 I have and wakes it up at the given time. But when I run it under X in aterm the behaivor of the X-server is kind of strange/slow. On console level it works.
At least both could be a starting point. Or is there any compareable program in pdaxrom (feed?) I couldn't find anything....
