[Meanie stated that there are currently only 2 images right now which is the basic image and the custom image.  He is still working on the full image.

I get the same problem as rui65....can't download any of the hdimage files at all. I assume an error is occurring as it throws us back to the home page.

Any one got a copy of hdimage-full.tgz???

All the other files download fine.

I've made a little collection of screenshots of various apps running on the sharp rom on the C3000.

currently the images are just dropped into a directory, nothing fancy yet, no gallery,etc... might do one later.

Fantastic website, it's been really helpful to me in setting up apps on my C3000. You should create a new "rom" based on all the work you have done, would save people no end of time in getting all the various packages...

I anticipate trying out the 18a Tetsu Kernel with this ROM too, currently it's using 17h. 18a updates a few bits here and there and adds the granularity stuff into the /proc/apm output (translate : Gives hi res % on the battery power )

Andy - will you incorporate the new kernel/mplayer/other fixes into a new beta (or cefrnr) and if so do you have a timescale?

They should certainly be owned by root.

I would try changing that first and see if that gets rid of your problem. Many of the security bits actively check ownership to make sure files haven't been tampered with.

Did that...same result. Thanks anyway, I'm going to try your new Cacko soon, only got an SD card this morning. I have been following its progress closely but I am trying to decide whether to wait for the next version or jump straight in now!

If you haven't already changed you may want to just check the ownership and permission set on /etc/passwd and /etc/group... respectively they are (Sharp ROM).

C1000/3x00 General discussions / Su Problem

On my C3000 I open a terminal and run "su". I have no root password set and I get the following error:

su: cannot set groups: Operation not permitted

and it boots me back to the zaurus user prompt.

I have the original Sharp rom. I am guessing that some package installation has screwed something up as it worked fine last week! Any suggestions on how I fix this?

I've uploaded an update for ltris with a missing file and removed the /usr/var stuff.
But ltris neither depends on libqsfepj.so nor on libkke.so.1.
Are you shure you got correct sdl / sdl-mixer versions for your device?

Hi Silvio. i rolled back to an older lib sdl mixer and installed your latest version. The lib error still shows up in a terminal window but it all runs fine now.

I am going to guess either your router is located in a less than favorable location and you aren't getting a strong enough signal or your wifi card is bad.

Thanks for the suggestion Chris. I can sit 6 feet away from my access point with a laptop next to my zaurus, both using wireless connections. My network's in good health. I think it could either be the card as you say or I think the AP settings are clashing with the CF card's in some way.

Hi, i'm a very happy c3000 user currently using the original rom but have some wireless connection problems. I have a billionton wired ethernet CF card that works perfectly with DHCP on my home network. I also have a DLink 660W wireless CF card. This typically connects most times (sometimes i have to have several goes)  but then i lose the connection after between 1 and 20 minutes. A ping shows that i am losing packets. The zaurus network monitor shows 100% link strength and quality but i can't ping any machines on my network. I have tried DHCP and hard wired settings with the same result. I am connecting to a DLink wireless accss point. I can connect to this with a wireless laptop fine so my network is up.

Anyone got any suggestions? My access point has many settings, am i able to change any wireless settings on my c3000?

Will things get better/more stable when cacko comes to the c3000?

Hi Silvio, great work! LGeneral (also backgammon off your site) seems to work on my C3000 but when I try LTris I get these errors. I ialso installed libsdl and libsdl-mixer.

Got mine a week ago from www.trisoft.de, very fast service, the c3000 had been converted to engkish AND some of the latest apps had been installed such as ko/pi and kino2! they come highly recomended.
