C1000/3x00 Hardware / Sd Wlan ?
« on: April 20, 2005, 12:24:15 pm »
Thanks!  I guess I'll have to get one.
I have a c-750 though, and after I emailed them they changed this page to say the c750 isn't supported, thought the c760 is.   I thought the only difference was the case color and the ram, I can't imagine they have different sd setups:

I found another thread on this topic in which people say it does indeed work, but maybe not so reliably.  Does anyone else have info about reliablity?

Man, this site is awesome.   My $350 c750 from ebay may end up running linux w/ wifi and 5gb of memory, as opposed to the condition I got it in (not charging, with some crummy PIM software).

Accessories / Official Pcmcia Cards Compatible With Zaurus!
« on: April 04, 2005, 08:07:56 pm »
Yes please anyone post a like to a device that enable use of PCMCIA cards IN A COMPACTFLASH slot.   I see lots of stuff on google for pcmcia drives in computers to use cf cards, but nothing so far to use pcmcia cards in cf slots on pda's.

I don't think they exist, what would they look like?  PCMCIA cards are bigger than CF cards, to it'd stick out like 6 inches!

thx!

Cxx0 General discussions / C760 860 Differences?
« on: April 04, 2005, 08:00:12 pm »
Ok then, is there any way at all to get 802.11b networking WITHOUT using the CF slot?  Can't use the sd cuz it's not sdio right?  Is there anything that could do so thru the zaurus usb-client plug, since the aircable seems to provide bluetooth connectivity in this manner?

Thx, I'm just trying to find a way to have wireless and my CF microdrive both working at the same time.

Cxx0 Hardware / C860 With Battery And Other Mood Problems

I bought mine from somebody off Ebay  , and it does the same thing.  I have tried 2 different chargers, and the usb charger, no dice.  I am planning to send my c750 to japan to have it fixed, has anyone done this?    Could you tell me about it, like how much it cost, how long it took, and exactly where you sent it?

thx!

Deals and Great Z Buys / C-guys Sdio Wifi In Us
« on: April 01, 2005, 09:48:35 pm »
I emailed them.  Unfortunately, their sdio card, like all others, only works in sdio slots, so if you just have a regular SD slot (such as my c750, not sure about others) it won't work.

  :'(

I was finally gonna have wifi and 5gb in my cheap old c750.  Oh well.

$59.99 at DealSonic. Is this the one has Zaurus C860 driver?
I believe so, take a look at the C-Guys website for information, they say there are some limitations when using it in the Z 860. I think their card is special, so it works more in MMC mode than full SDIO or something...

Are you saying this will work in a c750, which doesn't have sdio?  cuz if so I'll buy one right now.  But I don't think it's possible.

thx!

Hey dreamtheater, that page says the card only works for pocketpc.  Theres no mention of zaurus anywhere on it.  Furthermore, c750 is sd only, not sdio, so how can it use a wifi sd card?

pls reply, as i'd love to get one for my c750. thx.
