5x00 General discussions / Sound level
« on: November 15, 2003, 11:47:06 am »
How does one increase the sound level of alarms? I have the sound applett maxed and alarms set to loud. My Palm devices were all much louder.

The only Zaurus weak point is my inability to hear it letting me know of pending appointments.

Thanks!

FOUND IT!

Installing qtopia-memoryapplet to the CF card causes a Z to reboot when it comes back from \"suspend\" mode.

Every dang time.

Software / syncing tkc apps on V3 ROMs not possibile???
« on: November 05, 2003, 10:48:06 am »
From http://www.thekompany.com/embedded/tkccalendar/:
Quote
While this application does run on the 5600/B500 and C7xx, we have not finalized the code to allow it to to synchronize with the desktop. There is a one way import module available, but synchronization is currently being worked on and will be released as soon as it is available.

1. Is there a workaround for Outlook XP synchronization?

2. Is there a date that this functionality is expected?

3. Flashing to tkc ROM, syncing, installing tkccalendar and importing data shifts the time of all my appointments by many hours. Is there a cure for this?

Thanks!

5x00 Hardware / reboot on resume

I changed quite a few things all at once and surprise, I have a problem.

On receipt of my 5500 back from Sharp Repair ($98 to replace a $1.35 fuse) I stuck in a new 250MB Viking CF card and loaded a bunch of apps (tkc, opie, etc) on top of Sharp 3.10 ROM.

It works for a few hours or days after flashing the ROM (I\'m getting good at this) but then it wants to reboot whenever one presses the \"ON\" button. The error scrolls by pretty fast but says something to the effect of:

\"ext2fs_chk_if_mount no such file or directory while determining whether /dev/mtdblock1 is mounted.\"

Has anyone resolved this error?

Thanks!

Software / tkccalendar will not launch
« on: October 30, 2003, 05:37:24 pm »
In the past few days I installed thekompany ROM and downloaded all new thekompany apps to match. Everything seems to be working well save for the fact that tkccalendar will not launch.

Versions:

thekompany 2.0-030612
tkccalendar 2.0-031011
tkcimport 2.0-031017

Thoughts?
