Sharp ROMs / Cacko 1.23 Keyboard Problems
« on: July 02, 2006, 03:36:29 am »
After a lot of trial and error I figured out the problem in Debian. As it turns out it is the swap of / and , keys in Cacko that causes the problem. When that's removed, the keyboard works as expected in Debian

Sharp ROMs / Cacko 1.23 Keyboard Problems

Thank's it did help me a bit

Now the keys are ok in Cacko. Unfortunately it's still giving problems in Debian. For instance the d-key maps to keycode 47. The same does /-key. That's not a good sign.  I also get weired behaviour from some other keys

Sharp ROMs / Cacko 1.23 Keyboard Problems
« on: June 28, 2006, 03:27:19 pm »
I just upgraded to the Cacko-rom. I really enjoy most of the things in here, but I'm not able to configure my keyboard properly.

I found that I can change language with Keyboard-icon (cyrkbdset) , but since there is no Norwegian language available, I need to modify it. I've created a keyhelper.xml, but that doesn't seem to have any effect.

Another problem is that the keyboard doesn't work properly inside XQt/Debian Workstation. I'm running the same Debian installation since before the upgrade to Cacko. I have download different .xmodmaprc's and loaded them in Debian. What ever I do, some of the keys (for instance /-key) doesn't work.

Any ideas? I really don't want to go back to the sharp rom :-(

Security and Networking / My Wifi Days Over?

I also have one of these crappy D-Link cards. It worked for about 6 months, now it works for a minute or two
before loosing connection or dying causing the screen to go totally white. I have to remove the battery to make it go away.

User Request for Applications / Citrix client
« on: March 22, 2006, 09:18:53 am »
I got the Citrix-arm-client working fine using XQt/Debian workstation. Have used it together with vpnc for several months without problems on my C3100.

See link for details on install:

I can recommend installing DebianWorkstation (XQT) stuff. I it will give you a standard debian environment inclusive a GCC compiler (and working environment).

(Sorry that I can't fix it for you. Have some problems with the Z at the moment :-(

Is it possible to have a console only version of debian - without a graphical user interface - on the C3100? How?

Easiest option is probably to create chroot'ed Debian environment. Possibly by installing the XQT+Debian Workstation and the remove all unneeded packages...

C1000/3x00 General discussions / Citrix Is Working On My C3100!
« on: September 11, 2005, 12:36:59 pm »
I've got the Citrix client (ICA) and VPN working on my C3100. This is what I did:

Install the following software:
- XQt-jumbo pack
- Debian PocketWorkstation
- Vpnc 0.3.3 ipsec-module, tun-module (link: http://viperinz.sourceforge.net/feed/)

- Configure default.conf in /etc/vpnc/
Notice that if your Cisco-profile (<profile>.pcf) contains a setting for enc_GroupPwd, you might have a problem.

I'm not sure vpnc supports encrypted secrets.

- Start vpnc and logon with credentials

- Start Debian Workstation

- Install ICA-arm client (link: http://www.citrix.com/site/SS/downloads/de...loadID=3323#top, ARM Version 3.0.86)

The ICA client is linked to an old version of libxaw. This can be downloaded using debain package manager:
apt-get install libxaw6

Since I'm running vpnc outside Debian Workstation I must copy the vpnc-generated /etc/resolv.conf into Debian's /etc/resolv.conf.
If you don't do this dns lookup failes. This could possible by fixed by creating a symlink or using vpnc inside Debian.

Start ICA-client using ./wfcmgr and you are ready to go
