Altboot is installed by default on OZ 3.5.4. At lease on my collie image it was installed

Sylpheed installed easily but I can't get around on the small screen to set  up accounts.  Will tinker futher but it looks like it doesn't work in the small format.

On collie, IMHO the best is to move your root to a SD card and use altboot to boot your system.

IIRC the altboot ipk can be found on hentges.net, for those not running 3.5.4-RC.

GNUMERIC
I also installed gnumeric from this feed. When starting up it complains :

Failed to activate configuration server. The service org.gnome.GConf was not found in the acticvation entry list.
As result I cannot store personal configurations. Does somebody have a similar behaviour or knows how to get rid of it?

Create a file called org.gnome.GConf.service on /usr/share/dbus-1/services with the following:

Code: [Select]

[D-BUS Service]
Name=org.gnome.GConf
Exec=/usr/libexec/gconfd-2
Log out and restart dbus (or restart Zaurus). This should solve the problem. Solved here

Hm. Lardman's package work on my setup. I had to open the package and install it manually because even with sharp-compat-libs installed and all the force-* magic, it always failed complaining about qpe-base.

I used my CF as a storage device.

Be careful installing arm5 arch files (on an arm4 machine) as you may end up with the app in question failing due to unrecognised instructions.

arm5 ipkgs aren't available for us on arm(4) machines... the feed should be fixed to list both arm and arm5vte

Is this just a configuration issue, or is Minimo simply incapable of properly rendering a web page and, if it's the former, how do I set it up to do so?

Minimo renders pages with "small screen optimizations", so pages can be vieweable with small screens (think QVGA). If you don't like Minimo's rendering, gpe-mini-browser is the way to go

So let's say I'd like to request for addition of this applet in OZ+GPE... where should I file a request (in which bugtracker, I mean) : directly in GPE's one (but then attached to which package), or in OZ's one ?

Maybe the best is to file a bug on GPE bugtracker, requesting the addition of this applet a new package.
