Cosmo Communicator - Hardware / Re: Battery life
« on: October 12, 2020, 12:36:10 pm »
Non-rooted Android here. Battery now lasting about 4hrs max. Cover display noticeably warm to the touch, almost hot, although turned off. What can be done?

Or just disable the calendar app you do not want to use. There are many options.

Thanks for the advice. "Disable" looks like it will be enough for me.

Cosmo Communicator - Android / Removing Cosmo Apps

I prefer to use the Google Calendar app, so I'm getting a little irritated at the duplicate notifications from the Cosmo Agenda app. Is there any way to uninstall the Cosmo Agenda app? And to re-install it again later, in case I change my mind?

I made OpenCamera my default camera.

How do you make OpenCamera the default camera? I can choose to use OpenCamera from the desktop, but when I choose the camera from the cover display, I think I'm stuck with the Cosmo camera, right?

Cosmo Communicator - Android / Headset Button Support
« on: December 16, 2019, 04:33:43 am »
I have a set of Sony STH32 earbuds connected to my Cosmo Communicator. These have an inline 3-button remote, with Volume+, Play/Pause and Volume- buttons. These work fine when the Communicator is open, but when closed the Volume+/- buttons appear to be re-mapped to do some weird cover display navigation, and the Play/Pause button appears to do nothing at all.

Is there any way to fix this? I'd like these buttons to do the same thing whether the phone is open or closed - as documented in https://source.android.com/devices/accessor...pected-behavior

This is not just a problem operating the media player, but is also a PITA when accepting calls. What should be a simple press of the pause/play button, requires the removal of the Cosmo from the pocket or wherever and manipulation of the front panel button. Also, adjustment of the volume of the call, which should be a simple press on the inline remote, turns into a nightmare of front-panel navigation, often resulting in accidentally dropped calls.

Both of these are deal-breakers when using the phone while driving, or in any similar activity. This needs fixing ASAP.
