Cosmo Communicator - General Discussion / Best carrier for midwest USA?

I'm eager to use my Cosmo Communicator and I've had it for a long time, but I've failed to use both T-mobile and straight talk plans! 
What is the best compatible carrier for mobile internet on the Cosmo Communicator in midwest/nationwide USA? I can't find answers anywhere.

What is the best carrier to be using for mobile internet/ LTE? 
Is there an option that is best for linux internet? (Kde)
I can't seem to find an answer anywhere 

I'm having no luck with straight-talk besides call/text, is that because its incompatible? 

Looking forward to using this wonderful clicky clacky device!
