C1000/3x00 Hardware / Zaurus C3100 And Monitor
« on: January 10, 2007, 06:05:29 am »
Just a bump as I  can't figure out the end result of this..? Can anyone vouch for getting video out (not like a slideshow, but as near to Z screen as possible) to an external monitor?

thanks

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / View Z Hd Via Usb From An Xp Machine

Hello.

I don't want USB networking - just want to see my Z as a USB disk when I plug it into my XP laptop. Nothing happens on either side when i plug it in.

Is there a simple way to make this work? I want to exchange files between the two.

thanks

Sharp ROMs / Alternative Tools To The Network Applet?
« on: July 19, 2006, 03:55:01 pm »
Hello,

I have a  NL-2511CF Mercury CF card + gorgeous sl-3100 Z.

Mostly I can't connect to unencrypted networks, but infuriatingly, occasionally it does work. Lights flash on the card, but I usually get "network offline". I can use Wellenrieter to see networks, just can't connect to most of them (have disabled the Auto-connect in the settings already).

I wondered if I could mimic the actions of the network applet with command line tools to try and figure out what is going on?

What tools would these be?

iwconfig?

I think I am using the hostap drivers...

cheers

Sharp ROMs / Wifi Troubles
« on: July 13, 2006, 10:39:40 pm »
Hiya,

Same problem. (sorry no suggestions!) :-)

Open Wifi networks that my XP laptop has no problem with - my Zaurus replies "network offline".

If I don't have access to the router and the specs for the open wifi, how do I debug to see why the zaurus is having problems.

I have connected to one open Wifi so far, but it's one out of 5 I would like to use, that have no encryption, and work on other machines.

Argh. Any ideas?

thanks

Hello Again.

Dates are all wrong on this output as I get bored resetting the date on reboot.

Nothing come out of that command...

It says "Can't locate module hostap_cs"

When I boot... I can see cardmgr looking to try and load hostap but not finding it, but the

/lib/modules.rom/2.4.20/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/hostap.o

is there when I look.

What should I try now?

thanks

Sharp ROMs / Senao Nl-2511cf Mercury + Cacko 1.23 On 3100
« on: February 13, 2006, 04:21:18 am »
Hello. Using a new (to me) 3100.

Just flashed to Cacko 1.23.

I am using the NL-2511CF MERCURY wireless card, which is recognised by "system Info" -> CF Slot as a "Zonet ZCF1100" - although is marked by an exclamation mark.

If I open "wireless monitor" it complains "Can't find a wireless device", and ifconfig shows no wlan0.

Any ideas how to configure this?

One small other thing.

I inherited this Z with an OpenBSD partition which I ditched and fdisk'd the bsd partition to fat32, and mk2fs.vfat on it.

I have ext3 /dev/hda1 and /dev/hda2 and a fat32 /dev/hda3 (which i think is "normal") but on cacko boot, it complains "HDD is not initialized!" I can see from the script I need some default files. How do I set this up by hand?

thanks in advance
~loothi
