Aquí otro:

En mi caso con una Zaurus c760. Aunque últimamente no le he dado mucho uso.

Por cierto, tengo que ponerme al día con eso del Zubuntu, ahora mismo estoy con Cacko, pero no estaría de más probar.

Qt/Qtopia / Where Do I Begin?
« on: July 09, 2006, 01:20:12 pm »
Hello,

First of all, excuse my poor English as it's not my main language.

I would like to begin developing some software for my Zaurus (C760 and Cacko ROM). As I understood, Cacko's Rom is compatible with Sharp ROM, so I need the Official QTOPIA SDK (found here www.qtopia.net ). I would like to do it on a host computer running UBUNTU, so my questions are:

1) Do i need a toolchaing for cross compiling, or it's already included on qtopia sdk?
2) Does the QTOPIA SDK contain all the software I need to develop for the zaurus?
3) If I want to develop using SDL libraries for the Zaurus, what should i do?
4) Is there a way to test my software on my computer before copying it to the zaurus?

Thanks!

Spain / Q Tal Es La Pantalla De La Zaurus 3100 O La 1000?
« on: March 30, 2006, 09:25:42 am »

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / 3.5.4.1: Faulty Hardware Or Driver Error?
« on: March 29, 2006, 12:58:45 pm »
I'm going to check again today with OZ, because with Cacko's Rom it doesn't detect (with wellenreiter) newtorks on channels different than 11-13.(came from uni to home with wellenreiter on)

hola mimeca,

A mí gustan el verde y el naranja más que el gris. Tampoco me hagáis mucho caso porque soy daltónico  (  ), pero aún así los veo bien (que ya es bastante   )

Sharp ROMs / Does Cacko Supports Socket Spectrum24 Wifi Card?
« on: March 28, 2006, 12:14:17 pm »
Ok. Tried at uni: Channel 6 working ok (no wep).

I suppose it's not a faulty card, but a compatibility problem btw my ap and the card...

I have installed Cacko again to check, and I'm having the same problems. Maybe it's a driver problem, or just a compatibility problem with the card and my AP.

I wen to University today and could connect without problems to the free AP on channel 6.

Sharp ROMs / Does Cacko Supports Socket Spectrum24 Wifi Card?

I will try today at University, or any nearby cafeteria with free wifi. I believe one of my neighbours had an IPAQ, may be I can try the card with that PDA.

I've got a Socket Spectrum24 in my C860 with Cacko 1.22. The only problem I've got (and I have) is that kismet doesn't work, but I use wellenreiter instead.

I've connected to a Conceptronic, Linksys, Zyxel and Dlink AP (some of them opened and others with WEP). The only channel that I'm sure what is it, is the conceptronic AP on channel 6 and WEP.

Sharp ROMs / Does Cacko Supports Socket Spectrum24 Wifi Card?
« on: March 28, 2006, 04:38:46 am »
thnaks for the reply. after the last message i installed OZ again and kept trying:

I discovered i could only connect if my ap was on an odd number channel (tried all 13 channels and none of the pair number channels worked and they werent detected by iwlist scanning). Even oddlier, wellenreiter OZ networ utility were able to detect them on any channel.

With the new channel i decided to give cackos rom another try, and now its working without problems.

My laptop and ap client (also us robotics branded) never had any problem with my old channels.

I received my card yesterday from an ebay auction, so i have to found out if its faulty or not, just a problem with my ap, or a bug on the driver.

Thanks again for your reply

PS: Im on the zaurus writing this reply

I change my access point channel from time to time.  Currently it's channel 8, infrastructure.

Is this your only wifi device?  Are you using dhcp or static IP?  Does your AP have logging?  Does it log DHCP requests?  Do you have MAC filtering on?  Just to be on the safe side have you rebooted the Z (I think you can just restart the cardmgr or do the whole cardctl reset and cardctl resume)?  If static IP, what does iwconfig and ifconfig return?

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / 3.5.4.1: Faulty Hardware Or Driver Error?
« on: March 27, 2006, 06:52:10 pm »
Odd, very odd. Buf after a full afternoon and night trying to make my new symbol spectrum24 wifi card, i discovered it doesn't work with my ap (USR8054) if i use pair channels (2,4,6,8, etc...)!!

Code: [Select]
$ iwlist scanning

doesn't return any network on pair channels. And I can't associate with network on pair channels.

I thought it could be faulty hardware, because experienced same odd behaviour using Cacko1.23 on my c760 (only tried channel 2 though), but then I tried wellenreiter, and it began detecting my network on channel 2, and other vicinity networks on pair channels.

Any idea?

Is the card faulty? Or just the driver? Any of you experienced something similar?

thanks

My socket wifi works without problem on cacko 1.22 on my 760 and 1.23 on my 3100.  Did I read correctly your essid as "home ap any"?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=120513\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Thanks for the reply: did you make any special step to make it work? Do you use WEP?

My essid is "home", and "ap any" is an option to make the card connect to any ap on the network.

Edit: Now I'm getting:

wlan0 Failed to read scan data : Resource temporarily unavailable.

This is frustrating...
