well just had to attach a copy of these here, as they can be suprisingly hard to find and i even downloaded a 30mb sharp update cd to have the drivers it came with not work... these drivers give you NDIS TCP/USB network adapter in windows and the sl device in device manager. then you can just share your internet connection or do whichever...

i got your message,

ive never gone as far as building a rom afaik , just configuring a kernel source far enough to build a 3rd party app's module against it...

afaik you wont brick it but i dont have the exp. though i have flashed alot, quite a few of them unsuccessful, ive always made it good again.

good luck, it is annoying bug i would like fixed too.

preferably run but compile optional...

i tried installing 7.30 ipkg but requires libqte...

perhaps some member with better understanding of libraries and compatability dependencies can help ...

5500 feed relocated plus new ipk's

"17th July 2007:"

moved to a new host:
thanks goes out to antix over there for the support.

I also recently finished my first version of a native gcc 2.95.3 fpa hardfloat based toolchain for collie running pdaxrom beta1, ideal for building modules...
plus more new ipkg packages !! :

---> 2gb-sd_2.4_armv4l.ipk
* the 2gb sd driver, packaged with preinst and postinst scripts to automatically backup/restore original driver

---> bcrypt_1.6-13_armv4l.ipk , bcrypt-html-doc_1.6-13_armv4l.ipk
* jetico's "bestcrypt" on-the-fly container encryption system and html website doc.
     (needs glibc-fpa to run)

---> glibc-fpa_2.2.5_arm4vl.ipk
* hard fpa glibc runtime libraries taken from my newly compiled fpa toolchain based on 2.95.3 gcc

---> texinfo_4.8_armv4l.ipk
* texinfo gnu package compiled natively provides makeinfo binary

---> transmission_0.72_armv4l.ipk
* gtk based torrent app.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Mkfs For Pdaxrom ? Can It Be Built
« on: July 06, 2007, 08:37:42 am »
pretty much solved  as far as finding this package "fdisk" that has mkfs from debian,

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Undefined Symbol: __divsi3
« on: July 06, 2007, 08:20:42 am »
(i think its an old gcc thing)

yep, just add the following to the end of the linker command ( $(LD) $(OBJ) -soname $(TARGET) -o $(TARGET) -lc) in the Makefile for the .o file::

 -L/opt/native/arm/2.95.3-armv4l-hardfpa/lib/gcc-lib/armv4l-unknown-linux-gnu/2.95.3/ -lgcc

ie path to libgcc.a which defines __divsi3 among other goodies

did you work out what was going on here as im getting this now ...

usr/lib/ undefined symbol: __divsi3
Can not load key generators

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Undefined Symbol: __divsi3
« on: July 06, 2007, 04:20:10 am »
/usr/lib/ undefined symbol: __divsi3
Can not Load Key Generators

i guess it trying to load/use theis module which is part of package i compile with new testing gcc-2.95.3 fpa native toolchain

i get the feeling from looking around it could be result of a few things...

if my path is set to default vfp toolchain i get:
Code: [Select]
# ldd /usr/lib/ => /lib/ (0x40011000)
        /lib/ => /lib/ (0x2aaaa000)

if my path is set to the new toolchain i get:

Code: [Select]
# ldd /usr/lib/ => /lib/ (0x40011000)
        /opt/native/arm/2.95.3-armv4l-hardfpa//lib/ => /opt/native/arm/2.95.3-armv4l-hardfpa//lib/ (0x2aaaa000)

and if i add my new toolchain's /lib to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH i get :

Code: [Select]
# ldd /usr/lib/ => /opt/native/arm/2.95.3-armv4l-hardfpa/lib/ (0x40012000)
        /opt/native/arm/2.95.3-armv4l-hardfpa//lib/ => /opt/native/arm/2.95.3-armv4l-hardfpa//lib/ (0x2aaaa000)

maybe it has some thing to so with the source code for the module ??

#  cp -f $(HEADERS) ../include
    rm -f *.o *.ver *~ $(TARGET)

for example i found this on a site out there:

AsIDE will now automatically create an Intel-HEX format file after every build.
I'm getting getting a linker error undefined reference to `__divsi3' when I build my application. Why?
You need to link in the library libgcc.a. Within AsIDE:
1. Select Project|Project Properties|Tools
2. Select Link in the Tool name list
3. Click the Options... button
4. Add the following line to Libraries/Objects:

-L %(GCC_EXEC_PREFIX)\arm-elf\3.3.1 -lc -lgcc

Where -lgcc is shorthand for libgcc.a. AsIDE will now automatically link in libgcc.a after every build.

maybe something similiar could help... ?
