Software / Converting Back To The Sharp Addressbook
« on: January 12, 2005, 03:21:01 pm »
Since I first got a Zaurus -- 5500 I have used the TKC Addressbook.  (I have a 760 now) For various reasons I find myself thinking about switching back to the Sharp Addressbook.  The problem now is that the Applications now use two separate files to store their data.  One is dtm and the other is XML..

Does anyone know any easy what to convert the data for the TKC Addressbook into DTM?  Note that the Calendar will be my next problem.

Sharp ROMs / Installing The New Cacko Rom
« on: January 01, 2005, 04:31:01 pm »
What are people doing about backup and restoring their data around installing the new ROM?  All I really care about is my contacts, my calendar and my data in the notes section of the text editor?  I am happy to reinstall my applications.

Last time I saved it manually.  I just wondering what others are doing?

Zaurus - pdaXrom / pda-ish applications?
« on: May 12, 2004, 12:38:25 pm »
I am considering trying the pdaXrom and I want to prepare by starting to use applications on my desktop that I will be using on pdaXrom.  ie.  What applications do you use for a Calendar and an Addressbook?

It looks like WiFI is working, but not Bluetooth.  I may have to wait because i use bluetooth to connect to the internet from my cell phone.

Thanks for any information.

Sharp ROMs / cacko rom to pdaxrom... and back again???
« on: May 07, 2004, 01:53:11 pm »
Has anyone done this?  Is it straight forward?  I would like to try the pdaxrom, but I fear it won\'t yet standup to heavy daily use as a handheld.

Sharp ROMs / tkc for C760
« on: February 16, 2004, 05:35:26 pm »
I\'ve been away awhile and I would like to know the state of the tkcROM for the 760.  Also, is there a web page that documents the whole upgrade process?

ei backing up and restoring your data across the ROM upgrade as well as all the little details required to do this without messing up your device.
