Gemini PDA - Android / My Gemini is getting to its limits

More and more Android apps require Android 9 or even 10. So, while I still very like my Gemini, it is getting more and more useless. Evernote is no longer running, Instagram is no longer running. DB Navigator, which I need here in Germany for using the train system, is still working but can no longer be updated. It's just a matter of time that it will no longer work. The Gemini was a great device, but I will probably have to retire it soon.

Gemini PDA - German / Vokale mit Accent mit deutscher Tastaur schreiben

Mir ist es bisher nicht gelungen, auf der deutschen Tastatur Vokale mit einem 'accent aigu', also wie über dem e in Café zu schreiben. Geht das tatsächlich nicht? Bei einigen Lehnwörtern aus dem Französischen braucht man das ja auch im Deutschen.

Gemini PDA - Android / input screen problem

In many Android apps, when I start to enter some data, the input screen would disappear and be hidden behind an empty window. To bring the input screen back, I have to push ESC or use the Android back button. Here is an example from the Twitter App Tweetcaster. First picture shows the normal timeline window.

The second picture appears when starting to enter a new tweet. In this window, nothing can to be entered.

Hitting ESC will bring the input window, where you can enter a tweet.

This behaviour is to be found in many apps. Is this normal for the Gemini? It's not a big deal, however. Everything works, you just have to hit one more key. It was just a little bit disturbing until I found that simple solution. My Gemini has a German/Austrian keyboard.

Gemini PDA - General Discussion / HDMI and VGA output

I was not yet successful to get my Gemini connected to external monitors or projectors. I bought the original HDMI and VGA cables, but there is no video signal output. In the display controls of the Android control centre, you can only switch HDMI output on and off. Even in the on posiiton, there is no signal output. For VGA, I have not found any controls. Do I need a specific app to enable video signal output?

The USB port works, however. I have no problems with external USB storage devices.
