Just to make sure: You know, you have to format the card as FAT and NOT Fat32?
Whenever I had a problem with a medium for NAND backup/restore, new formatting helped.

Just run the restore... and once you leave the Diag Mode... just plug back up... hold down ok and power... happy installing... you dont even have to boot into Sharprom first...

... and note... when you are going through the pdaxrom install processes... like changing root size limit... then changing root size... when it says about rebooting... just watch... once it pops up and say... "Rebooting" just hold down OK... and you will get get back into the maintaince menu...

QuoteDo I need to restore NAND and then install beta 3?
Yes... Erase the nand was fine... but you still need to reload/restore a nand with the Sharp Bootloader... No bootloader... updating...

QuoteHowdy All,
I am trying to get a wireless internet connection with my CF wireless card. I searched for clues, but I haven't read anywhere that my CF card, Buffalo WLI-CF-S11g, is successfully used with pdaXrom 1.10r121.
I'd appreciate if someone can tell me how to go about activating the cf card. Right now, it's sitting pretty in my cf card slot, blinking repeatedly. The card is recognized, but I can not connect to the web. I setup all the parameters in the LAN&Wifi 'control panel,' but I get a DNS lookup error when I try connecting to the internet with dillo, which is installed with pdaxrom.
Any pointer is appreciated.
Thank you,

QuoteHowdy All,
I managed to install pdaxrom 1.10rc121 on my C-1000. I was so lost during the installation that I didn't have the frame of mind to care about root partition setup. The installation instruction for 1.1.0rc121 didn't say anything about modifying/creating a root partition.
To eek out more performance out of C-1000 do I need to modify the root partition, and if yes is it too late now to do it now without wiping out the flash and reinstalling the pdaxrom?
I hope I made some sense.
Thank you for your explanation.

Ok... your subject states about setting up a swap file... and the body of your post doesnt mention anything about a swap file... but just about modding your root partition...
1. Beta 4 and rc121 do not give you the option to resize or change you root / home partition sizes...
2. I hope you arent talkin about created a swap file or swap partition on your internal flash space..
Post some more details on what you are trying to do...
