Looking at previous posts, it looks like the going price is ~$300 so that is what I'm asking... if I'm off on the current going rate, make an offer.

Software / Hebrew Input In X-based Roms
« on: June 17, 2005, 03:30:14 pm »
I asked around a bunch for hebrew stuff on the Z several times over the last couple of years.  So far I haven't found anything for a qtopia based rom - will any of your methods work in the qtopia world?
This may be enough of a reason that I'll have to look in the X roms.

Thanks, Jon

Sharp ROMs / Cacko 1.22 And Kismet/wellenreiter
« on: January 05, 2005, 05:23:30 pm »
When I do this, kismet gives me a 'cannot connect to server' error when I click restart and then the card appears to suspend.  I just noticed if I click restart a second time then all is well.  Weird... sorry for the odd post.

Thanks, Jon

Sharp ROMs / Cacko Rom 1.22 Is Available!
« on: January 03, 2005, 02:20:48 pm »
For those getting the undefined symbol problem (I had the same problem in Vim and mtr), I believe this is an ncurses problem.  Only ncurses 5 is installed so I dropped v4 on from an old copy I had and changed the libncurses4 symlink to point to the old version (leaving the v5 stuff alone) and the problem seemed to go away.
Perhaps it would be good to put libncurses4 in the next patch?

Thanks for all the hard work.

Sharp ROMs / Cacko 1.22 And Kismet/wellenreiter

Does anyone have any wireless sniffers working under cacko 1.22?  I can't seem to get either kismet or wellenreiter to work with my ambicom card.  I don't get any errors and wellenreiter appears to work but it isn't seeing any data when it should be seeing a ton of traffic.  I've setup a dummy wireless profile with a static ip and ad-hoc mode.

How do I make this work?
Thanks for all the hard work.

Software / KOrganizer / KO/Pi (KOrganizer Platform independent)
« on: March 25, 2004, 11:02:25 pm »
Zautrix: you rock...
I just tried 1.6.6b and c.  Both versions seem to have the wrong (no execute) on the db2 import file.

Also, the second time I did a sync in korganizer with the dtm, kopi decided that all local entries should be deleted (repeat syncs said nothing needed to be done) - deleting the ics file and resync\'ing got my data back.

kopi was extremely slow (I stopped counting after 5 minutes) with each operation with my full calendar data.  Deleting my calendar dtm files and resync\'ing with outlook and limited data set produced reasonable speed.  Before shrinking my data, my dtm file was around 600k and the corresponding ics file was over 1.4M, after my dtm is about 100k with the ics at around 280k.  This seems like quite a dramatic multiple, why?  I\'d like to bring my historical data back in, is there a way to improve performance with this?

Feature request:
The best view for me seems to be the \'what\'s next\' view - is there a way to change/add/whatever the \"in x days\" to mention the corresponding day of the week (i.e. Monday)?

kopi is incredible, thanks for all the hard work.  Jon

General Discussion / sprint or verizon phone and c7x0?
« on: February 06, 2004, 01:51:48 pm »
Does anyone have a current sprintpcs or verizon wireless phone they succesfully use with their Z to get internet access?  I prefer to use irda for this since carrying cables kind of defeats the purpose.  Given the odd restrictions and problems with the t608 I don\'t think it is an option.
I don\'t see any non-palm irda capable phones on the sprint lineup - hopefully someone will correct me.

(I currently have a sanyo 8100 with sprint)

Thanks, Jon
